Research

Our research interests in Clostridium are quite broad, including human and animal pathogens, harmless industrial strains which produce useful substances including biofuels, and even species with therapeutic potential. We also work substantially on the development of methods and enabling technologies. Our primary discipline is molecular microbiology (including genomics and post-genomics methods), although we also use bioinformatics, synthetic and analytical chemistry, mathematical modelling, systems biology and synthetic biology approaches. If you have comments, questions or would like to collaborate, we would be interested to hear from you.
